Last winter my neighbor asked me if I had seen anyone at their house. I informed her "no". She told me that another neighbor had told her that they saw a white van pull up into her drive way and that they were loading stuff from inside the house. But the neighbor didn't know that they were gone.. the robbers took all of their Christmas and many other things. A lot of your thieves case the news papers for deaths.. The family were at a funeral when all this happened, and when they came home everything had been wiped out.
So last summer me and my wife were getting in our car to leave.A white van pulled into our drive. The man informed us that he and his grandparents use to live in our home when he was a child. He asked if we could let him see how many changes we had made to the house over the years.. Considering the fact that I knew the past owner and family that lived in the house, I knew this was a lie.. "BUSTED"
You can never be too safe. Make sure that when you decide to leave for a couple of days that you tell a good neighbor or a close friend, so that there is always someone watching out for you. Call the police department and ask if they can keep an eye open for you.( After all thats what they are there for) Try installing a security system if posible. A dog will stop alot of burgulers. Usually a burguler aims for the back of the house so that it is less likely for them for them to be seen.
A good watch dog will alert them and usually scar them off. You could even leave on a T.V. signaling that someone may be home.. Five dollars for electricity is a lot better than loosing everything you have worked for.. right??
Alot of times the person betraying you is someone you know like a family member or even a friend. So be alert!! Keep your friends close and your family closer!!!
